It'll never replace the 'proper' medium etc etc, BUT....
Been using the 'stumpy pencil'...
..watercolour photoshop stuff. Nice!
Block in colour and get a scruffy tide mark with one brush (almost like blocking in colour with a pastel), then soften everything with another brush. A layer 'style' does most of the tide mark work, really comes into it's own when you start adding extra layers... as if the new layer is going over the top of the previous 'dry' layer.
